I am (I’m me)
I grew up in Chicago’s suburban wasteland with an ex-navy turned c-card electrician dad, and a Northwestern-educated journalist mom. This always made for interesting parties because I learned how to talk literature and history with people in Land’s End sweaters, then familiarize myself with some of the finest bad words and worse jokes from guys in leather jackets.
Today I have my own leather jacket, and I’m a writer. Go figure.
